Halloween Costumes to Make For Baby - Great baby Halloween Costumes Ideas

One of the most fun things about Halloween for Baby are the costumes. But costumes for Baby these days can be so expensive! It seems like such a shame to spend all of that money on something your child will only wear once. Fortunately there are costumes you can make for your child. You can create a fun and adorable Halloween costume for your kid, even if you aren't the "crafty" type.

Begin by "shopping" in your child's closet. Every child has their own personal style, likes and dislikes. As you look straight through your child's closet, a costume idea may come to you. Have a piece of paper and pen with you as you go straight through the closet to brainstorm your ideas. A girl or boy in dance classes could absolutely wear their dance costumes as a Halloween costume - to be a ballerina or an additional one fun costume without other needed accessories. Other ideas may come to you as you look straight through your child's closet.

If your child is "crafty" involve them in the manufacture of their costume as this is a fun action for Baby. An easy costume to make is a pumpkin costume wearing a large orange sweatshirt and a green baseball cap with some green felt leaves on it. A crafty child will have fun manufacture a costume.

Think of your child's hobbies and interests as these may lead to a costume. The child who loves The Animal Planet show could be an animal wrangler, with safari outfit and a stuffed animal. A scientific child could have funny looking glasses, hair sticking out with gel to make them look like a "mad scientist." It is ideal to have a costume that shows your child's personality, hobbies and interests in some way.

A clown costume is easy to make. Go to the dollar store and buy a bunch of balloons (5 balloons for each usually). Make a clown face on your child's face with makeup from the drugstore available for Halloween. Dress them in spicy clothing. This is a fun costume for boys or girls.

Some children may be concerned in a career. They may want to be a newspaper reporter or dress like a soldier in the army or a fashion model. These are all costumes you can accessorize their current clothing with features to make them look fun. The newspaper reporter would have a newspaper and a stenograph sized notebook with a pen. Newspaper reporters tend to dress kind of "preppy" and they could ask for a quote or the real story. A soldier would dress in army fatigues or camouflage. This could be enhanced with Halloween makeup at the drugstore. A fashion model could wear a trendy outfit and some minor cosmetics. Add some costume jewelry and/or a pair of  high heels. Have her or him pose for their photo as they Trick or Treat.

Making costumes for Baby can be easy and fun once you realize the options available to you. Once you start to look you may contemplate there are any costume ideas in front of you. For best results, involve your child in the costume decision manufacture as they will get excited and want to wear the chosen costume even more now that they have had a hand in creating it. They will have pride wearing their Halloween costume that is special and unique.

Unique Toddler Halloween Costume Ideas

Make your toddler's first Halloween experiences memorable. Toddler Halloween costumes are available in a wide range of styles. Your toddler can dress up as his or her favorite cartoon character or favorite movie star. Toddler costumes are available in original styles as well. Some of the toddler Halloween costumes that caught my eye this year are included here.

Bob-the-Builder is favorite with toddler boys. The Bob-the-Builder costume includes a checkered shirt, overalls, hard hat, and a few tools to carry in his tool belt. This Halloween costume is adorable and doesn't cover your child's face so he will be able to enjoy all of his party games with friends without having to worry about losing his mask or getting his make-up messed up.

Boy Halloween Costumes

Harry Potter/Hermione costumes are someone else adorable idea for toddlers. The Hogwarts uniform includes a robe and neck tie. You can heighten the costume with other accessories. Wands are a great increasing to this basic toddler Halloween costume.

Unique Toddler Halloween Costume Ideas

Ghosts are cute and fairly easy to originate if you want to work on a home made costume with your toddler. A bed sheet or pillow case makes a great starting place but this costume can be made literally with a white sweat outfit and some face paint too. The sheet version can be made to cover the whole head and body development it difficult to tell your toddler apart from other kids or you can cut a whole for your toddler's head and then have the sheet cover the body area only. This way you can tell your child from other children and still have a great costume.

Your toddler can be cute as a bug in a Lady Bug or Butterfly costume this year. These costumes can be home made or purchased all ready made. Other bugs are available as well. Brightly colored bug costumes normally go over literally well with toddlers as they are fun to play with as well as pretty enough to keep your child's concentration and get your child excited about the holiday.

There are many other toddler Halloween costumes available this year. The possibilities are nearly limitless. Select one your child is going to be able to wear while playing the games and enjoying a Halloween party as well as going trick-or-treating or whatever your family enjoys doing for Halloween.

There are a few things to keep in mind with toddler costumes. First you should make sure your toddler can go to the bathroom or at least be taken out of the costume fast at potty time to avoid accidents. someone else thing you want to remember is your child needs to be able to eat treats, walk, and play without being restricted. Being able to see your child's face and tell your child from all of the other ghouls on Halloween is important. You don't want to lose your child in the crowd either. If you can see your child's face it is easier to keep track of your itsybitsy monster.

Thursday, October 3, 2013 Homemade Halloween Costumes: Start From Scratch and Make Outrageously Funny Homemade Costumes

Moms are busy and mine was no exception. When I was growing up, my mom all the time waited until the last puny to get us outfits to wear for Halloween. Probably out of necessity, but that is when I discovered how much fun homemade Halloween costumes could be to make.

Leaving our costumes up to Mom regularly meant picking out some cheap plastic costume from the local drugstore and going with that. Though this was okay, it was not ideal. One year, my younger brother then in second grade, had to dress up for a school Halloween party.

My mom had assuredly no time to help him with an outfit, as she had a newborn. So, I took over making our Halloween costumes from scratch and, I might add, with impressive results! Honestly, I think that is what launched my desire to form costumes for movies.

Homemade Halloween Costumes: Start From Scratch and Make Outrageously Funny Homemade Costumes

These days having a boy dress up as a girl is probably a pretty tasteless idea for home made Halloween costumes. Still, it was not quite as tasteless when we were kids - especially in our small Texas town. Actually, it is kind of funny when I look back.

I took some of my old clothes and other things I could find in my room to make my sweet puny brother into a very convincing looking girl. About the only thing I had a problem with was his hair since I did not have a girl's wig for him to wear. I did have fullness of all else for his get-up. One look at him and everyone cracked up with laughter.

If you want to make your own Halloween costumes, you can regularly find things colse to your home to start. You can fill in what you do not have through a variety of uncostly sources. Check out these fascinating creative costumes. Remember, you are beginning from scratch, so get started with that homemade Halloween costume now!
